On My Expertise
Statement 2
I have no expertise, none that’s relevant anyway.
My educational background is in math (B.S. from Arizona State, M.A. from UCLA) and computer science (M.C.S. from University of Illinois). My professional experience is all from the world of software development: I programmed in the languages C, C++, Smalltalk, and Java for companies large (IBM, Johnson Controls, American Express, Cisco Systems) and small (Unicon, Inc., from Gilbert, AZ).
I’ve never studied journalism, political science, communications, economics, criminology, or the law. Yet I plan to write dispatches and documents that touch on all these areas and more.
So that puts you, my reader, in the position of judging whether it’s worth your additional time and attention to continue following what I write. That of course is a decision you get to make yourself, but I will offer these few observations by way of encouragement (because I, of course, do want you to continue):
While I have no particular expertise, I do have a particular perspective, a unique way of looking at things. That of course is true of all eight billion humans now alive, but it’s my hope that there’s something valuable in that perspective.
I also have a relatively unique agenda. As described in the related statement, I genuinely don’t care what you do as a result of your reading my writings; I don’t care what you end up thinking, saying, voting, or doing. I only care that what you eventually think is the strongest, best, most valid, most well considered set of beliefs and opinions that’s possible for you, and that my writings may contribute in some way to making that so.
Finally, of all the principles espoused in my various documents shared here, the one that’s most primal to me (for various psychological and emotional reasons) is fairness. I may or may not be correct in my various observations, analyses, assessments, and opinions, but I will work very hard to make sure that I’m conspicuously fair both in how I arrive at them and how I articulate them.
Taken together, I hope these factors provide something special and different that makes up for my lack of expertise. Please, as you read, let me know whether you find that to be true.

If you’re not currently a Progressive, you have zero policy acumen. “ Center”?
That’s not a legitimate position, given everyone in Congress that proclaims to be a “centrist” or “moderate and “is nothing more than a donor fellation tool.
I think you’re a DNC water carrier. Either that or you are completely ignorant of the body politic.
To Restore the Republic and address the Internet climate disaster in a genuine fashion sure, as hell isn’t going to be gone from the “center”
TF you been?
